The purpose of this website is to publish most of my findings and discoveries about personal finances and investing. The idea to do this came to me when I realized that many others may also be spending countless hours searching for the same financial advice and information. Hopefully, this website will save a lot of time to all those people.
There are already countless other websites and blogs about personal finances and investing. But most of them lack the most important and essential information. Especially the practical approach to personal finances and investing. For most people spending time to learn all those often contradicting theories about investing is just a waste of time. They need to know what to do and how to do it. And it's enough if they understand how does it all work.
These days, the Internet seems to be a huge dumpster full of garbage. One has to dig very deep and for quite some time to discover any useful piece of information. What is more, money and investing attract all kinds of fraudsters and scammers. Because most people don't really understand the idea of investing, there's a lot of misleading and often false theories that are widely considered as valid and true. There's a lot of websites promising everyone to "beat the market" even with a "lazy portfolio" using their proprietary services for only $29.99 a month. And there's a lot of respected academicians and theorists saying that beating the market by the average investor is impossible. While they might be right, they promote the idea not to even try. Imagine Lance Armstrong saying that the average sportsman can't win any race - that's true most of the time for most of the racers. But if all racers did start training with same attitude, then there wouldn't be any racing. Those academicians seem to be hired by the brokerage and/or mutual fund industry that thrive on all those uneducated and naive people who belive in this theory and pay the mutual fund managers for something they could easily have done by themselves. Many other flashy and colorful websites seem to be designed solely to catch visitor's attention. Have him/her watch and click on banners and ads, while providing absolutely no value. All of those websites steal from their visitors a little of what's most valuable for them - their time, a piece of their life.
The purpose of this website is to provide valuable and practical information to the visitors. If you don't find it here, don't waste your time reading every article published here and look elsewhere. But whether you are a beginner or already an experienced investor, I believe that you may still find something valuable here. Enjoy reading! - Victor
